Playing Field
A Celebration of the Field of Play

Inspired by the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, we created a series of illustrations celebrating the Field of Play, representing all competing International Federations.

From courts and circuits, to courses, targets and runs, there are 18 individual artworks in total. Each piece reduces its subject to elemental form, distilling complex venues into precise geometries and measured compositions.

Our Approach

Stripped back to their structural essence, these arenas reveal the quiet intentionality of design — spaces conceived not merely to contain sport, but to elevate it. Like a designer’s grid, the Field of Play provides both constraint and possibility: a disciplined framework where human performance becomes creative expression.

Playing Field

Whilst reflecting our name, this series also demonstrates our commitment, craft and creative experience within the Olympic Movement for 17 years. From our origins as Thomas and Trotman Design, through T+T, and now Playing Field – we’ve been there to help our clients move the world of sport forward.
